The Town Crier is a weekly email publication devoted primarily to local news and gossip, as well as material of questionable practical value.  In most cultures, it'd be called entertainment.

If you have a story, public announcement or gossip-worthy information that you'd like included in The Town Crier, just send us an email.  The Community Bulletin Board serves primarily as a calendar of public events, but feel free to submit any community interest event announcement to The Town Crier and we'll make sure it gets included.  While the Community Bulletin Board is accessible to anyone with a first time interest in visiting Alto for a special event, The Town Crier has the advantage of reaching it's reading audience weekly.  In short, the best way to get your message to the people is to post your news and announcements in both forums.
